Elmore Integrated Systems partnered with Virotek Biosciences Inc., a Canadian precision medicine and clinical diagnostics company, to design and deploy a fully integrated security and network infrastructure solution for its facility in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
The project brought together AI-enabled video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems with the facility’s core network infrastructure, including managed switching, server connectivity, and wireless access points. Rather than implementing these technologies as separate systems, Elmore engineered the entire solution from the outset as a unified, cohesive infrastructure, designed to operate seamlessly across security and network environments.
Laboratory and clinical facilities present operational and security requirements that extend well beyond those of a conventional commercial environment. Controlled access to sensitive areas, high system availability, reliable connectivity, and infrastructure capable of supporting the secure handling of sensitive data are essential to day-to-day operations.
By delivering both the security and network infrastructure under a single contract, Elmore Integrated Systems provided Virotek with a streamlined project experience and a single point of accountability—from system design and engineering through installation, integration, testing, and final commissioning.
